The parents of a five-year-old boy have copped serious backlash this week after taking their son to Hooters on his birthday.
The popular US bar and restaurant chain is famous for its waitresses wearing low-cut tops and orange booty shorts.
The now-viral TikTok video amassed over 7 million views, 1.2 million likes and over 5000 comments.

Waitresses chant and boy flaps ‘wings’
The video is captioned, ‘Shouldn’t have told them it was your birthday buddy’, referencing how the boy, Zander, is getting a lot of attention from the Hooters waitstaff.
In the video, Zander can be seen with a big grin on his face while a chorus of waitresses chant a variation of ‘Happy Birthday’ and clap.
They get him to put on a fake ‘beak’ and flap serving trays around like wings. The staff then encourage the rest of the restaurant to join in the fun and help the boy celebrate his big day.
Many commenters were quick to blast the parents for their irresponsible choice of restaurant. Others praised them and sent messages of approval. No matter which side you’re on, there’s no denying this will be a birthday he’ll never forget.

“Who TF is taking their child to Hooters?”
“Who TF is taking their child to Hooters [especially] on his birthday,” said one person.
“Bro, he’s five. What’s he doing in Hooters? Great mum and dad,” asked another outraged user.
Someone added, “So you took him to a ti**ty restaurant? So much for protecting the children.”
“Seems more like the dad’s birthday rather than the kid’s,” one person pointed out.
Some supporters said, “This is so adorable. A memory he will never forget” and “Little buddy is living the dream.”
“That smile on his face is priceless!” one commented.
Others joked that this was the day that transformed him from being a boy into a man.
